I have bought many new kitchens in my history of renovating and moving home but my experience with Colman Brothers is by far the best. Firstly their selection of cabinetry and colours was great. I’d been to several kitchen brands and they didn’t have quite what I wanted despite being national retailers. Darren came out to see my kitchen and discussed design options in depth. I wanted to retain a few appliances that were fairly new and they supplied the additional ones I wanted at good prices. I had a budget I wanted to keep to and Darren worked with me on all the options I had to make it work for me. In the end I did go for some of the upgrade options as the kitchen will be here for a very long time. At no point was there any hard sales (or even sales), they simply guide you through everything and every decision is yours. I received a schedule of works before everything began and this was kept to throughout. Darren organised all the trades and met everyone on site to ensure they knew exactly what they were doing. Alex, the other half of the brother duo excels at the installation. Quietly efficient, fantastic finish and knows his job inside out and his craftsmanship shows. He and his son were a pleasure to work with and left my home clean and tidy every day. I believe the quality of the cabinets and whole installation process is far superior to the national retailers I looked at. The job was project managed by Darren (who gave us very good advice) and carried out by him and his brother and team to a very high standard. Because our house is 1930's build they encountered some structural problems which they resolved extremely well. They did a 1st class job, finished on time and left the place pristine. Colman Bros have worked on our property since they established their business back in 2006. During these 20 years they have fitted out our kitchen, then kitchen extension, 3 bedrooms, a study and in 2024, some lounge units and a bar area. This is the second time we've used Colman Bros, and once again, we are extremely impressed. They modified the kitchen in our new build house, as the builders didn’t offer any flexibility to change things. From the initial survey to assess our needs, everything was handled seamlessly. The work was completed on time, and we are absolutely thrilled with the results. The only wish I have, is they had been able to install the entire kitchen instead of the house builder! Previously, in 2019, we had a complete kitchen refit in another house. Darren took charge of the entire project, from design to installation, coordinating with the electrician, plasterer, tiler, and flooring company. He ensured each trade was on-site at the right time, keeping the project on track. Since both of us work full-time, we entrusted Darren with a key to the house, and every day, the property was left clean and tidy. Colman Bros delivered the kitchen to an exceptional standard, and it was actually the standout feature when we sold the house. I can’t recommend them highly enough. Complete Kitchen Refit Darren surveyed our kitchen and from design to installation project managed it perfectly accompanying the electrician plaster painter etc pointing out what was required all preparitry work was completed on time. Alex and his son Bob what a team they installed the kitchen to a very high standard in what was quite an awkward kitchen (no straight or level walls) i like things to be right and could not fault their work all unit door gaps were spot on and perfectly aligned they both worked extremly hard but always left it clean and tidy you couldn!t ask for more. The last part was the tiling floor&walls carried out by James again a perfect job with no mess then Darren came to see the completed kitchen and insure we were happy with the end result. They done a fabulous job on our bedroom. They are very professional and have a really good work ethic. They booked for two days but managed it in just one. They forgot some hinges but there was no fuss Paul went off to get them whilst Darren carried on. I’d recommend them to anyone.
